Santa's Favourite Cookies!
These fun Christmas cookies are definitely going to be Santa's favourite! They are soft, chewy, and full of Christmas colours, making them the perfect holiday cookies.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 75 grams all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup Christmas m&ms
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons white chocolate chips..
Method

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a cookie sheet with baking paper, or a silicone liner.

Add the butter, brown sugar and white sugar to a medium sized bowl. Cream it all together for 1 to 2 minutes, until it's light and creamy.

Add in the egg yolk and vanilla extract and stir it all together.

Add in the flour, salt, and baking soda, and stir it all together till you have a soft dough.

Add in the m&ms and chocolate chips, and fold them into the dough.

Scoop the dough into 8 even sized cookie dough balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake the cookies in the oven for 8-9 minutes, until the edges are golden and the tops are set.

Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for another 3 to 4 minutes, then transfer them carefully to a cooling rack to cool completely.
